The Renaissance was a period of great rebirth and great awakening in virtually all areas of life, beginning from the intellectual, through cultural and physical spheres. The movement began in Italy in the late 14th century as the medieval era gave way. It continued through the 15th and 6th centuries as it permeates Germany, France and other major countries of Europe. It was a great period of rebirth even in the area of Fashion.

The fashion trend in the renaissance period began with the freedom of human beings expressing themselves in whatever they choose to put on. The medieval constrains that held women in bondage over the wearing of certain articles of clothing was abolished. Men and women started thinking out better ways of manufacturing articles of clothing.

During this era, there was a re-awakening in the minds of many. Wonderful designers began to emerge in the area of fashion. Many great inventors began opening shops for the manufacturing of handbags, shoes, clothing materials and so many accessories.

Renaissance period was the time the desire to regulate time was born. Events were moving very fast. Time therefore became so much important in the lives of humans of the era. As a result, the thought to produce powerful wrist watches and wall clocks started developing like fetus in a woman’s womb.
In all, the renaissance was a great period of awesome thinking and rebirth. Many inventions were conceived. Some of them came to reality in their very first stages. Others remained unborn till the dawn of the modern era in the late 17th century. In deed, the fashion trends of that period were just at their gestation period. A lot of fashion accessories became impregnated thoughts in the womb of great thinkers.
